Cycling Tips: Fatty and BSNYC Contest

  • Jon · 8 months ago
Yes, both Snobby and Fatty do good blogs, but I come to cyclingtips for what I can learn about cycling - not the humor. You sometimes do a funny one though! Keep up the great work

Hasn't anyone found out the identity of the Bikesnob yet?

I'll donate $5 to the cause, but chumming around with BSNYC? There's lots better to see in NYC.

No comparison Cycling Tips rules. They are like a decafe skinny latte with no sugar, why bother?

Those are probably two of the most popular cycling blogs running today, but Cycling Tips is quickly making its way up there. The odd funny post always helps break it up, but for the most part I come here for the useful cycling information that I've never seen written anywhere else. Keep it up!

I have to admit I read Fatty everyday like you. He cracks me up. You've blog is a lot more informational though.

I read those blogs daily, but yours is an invaluable resource!

And why DON'T you guys get our American sense of humor ("humour") anyway?
Probably because you drive on the wrong side of the road...If you really wanted to be part of the community, you all (y'all - I'm a Texan) would jump off that island and push it closer.

And I have to ask, what's the story of the great photos that cycle through the upper right of the blog? Some look like Rapha ads, but others have your Web site stamped on them.

Thanks for the comments guys. I didn't mean it to be a "whose blog is better" thing...more of a "who can donate the most to the LA Foundation" thing. But there's some valuable feedback in there for me.

Also, the photography up in the right corner is by Ben Ingham (http://www.beningham.net/) from some Rapha photo sessions. He gave me permission to display his photography (another passion of mine - especially cycling photography). The bike museum pics were mine from the Tour Down Under. I've taken those down for now. I have a few more photographers that want to display their cycling photos in this space which I'm keen to do.

    thanks for reading

    Katherine,
I think the Aussies "get" the American sense of humour, but it's not nearly as subtle as the Pommie comedy. If you like the American version of "the office", try watching the UK version. Definitely not as funny - to me anyways!
