Cycling Tips: Is “Wanker” The Appropriate Aussie Term?

  • Shitslinger · 4 months ago
"wanker" is only the first thing that would come to mind when talking about vino's return... He's a disgrace to the sport of cycling!!

Dipshit is the appropriate American term
  • Brad · 4 months ago
Other terms that could be substituted include knob, tool and muppet.

So much a wanker he should officially change his name to Wayne Kerr.

I think it cool, why not? What else should he wear?

On another note cycling is a joke, if you get caught cheating it should be an automatic 5 year ban, no questions. If you coperate and name names like Bernard Kohl then you can get a reduced penaly of 3 years. I can not understand why they don't bring in tougher penalties. Its a joke!

Agree with all this WRT to Vino. He seems to think his shit dont smell.

Is he Putins nephew? I think so based on that cheesy pose. He can f#$k off and join the Tour De Epo - its got a very strong peleton these days

I think guys like him are delusional; that is, they truly think they've done nothing wrong. After a while, they start to believe their own lies and what's "true" becomes very fuzzy for them. I'm sure he got that jersey made because he believes it's his greatest day on the bike, not to rub in it cycling's nose. Ironic? Vino probably doesn't even know what that means.

    Never really liked the term...but.
For me, he is a giant disappointment, both in having doped but also in his present attitude.
A sad deal as I did like watching him ride.

Does Contador want the money bad enough to associate his premiership in cycling with this runt ? Astana has lost its direction without Bruyneel, with Vinokourov it's a lost cause . . .

I like what someone commented on Armstrong's Twitter page: How do you say "tool" in Kazakh?

Erf, I pasted the wrong URL. This is the right link to Douchebag Status.

That's actually a pretty catchy tune huphtur! It'll follow Vino around wherever he goes

    Cheesy, isn't it?

Vino really is a national hero. They don’t have a lot to choose from. It’s probably warped his way of thinking. Or maybe it’s the drugs. But in this case, I so don’t feel sorry for him. I’m with you. I just wish he would go away. He was always a ‘big noter’.

hopefully Borat never lets them down like vino did

that is one of the coolest jerseys i’ve ever seen. it sure takes a lot of balls to show up to a race with your face on your jersey. if i had more money, i would make some jerseys with my face on it.

but please don’t take this as a defense of vino of any kind. i hate the douchebag, but love the gusto!

Imagine how the Kazakhs will feel when they work it out!

“Merchant Banker” is the appropriate term in polite company.

Who else can attack on the last day of the tour?
  • Sminer · 4 months ago
This is the same guy that basically said, ‘Yea so what, say what you want. He's not going away at anyone's request. "But I made a ton of money and now I will take my fortune and retire and live a happy life, so screw everyone." (paraphrased a little) But this seems to be the guys attitude. I really don’t think he cares what we think about him.

Maybe somebody can find his actual retirement speech, I think I’m pretty close.

So Vino gets caught for cheating, serves his suspension and because he isn't outwardly repentant like say Millar, he gets shot down by all and sundry? And Millar hasn't been half the rider since his return so don't say you believe he only doped once - the one time he was caught.
No one in recent memory has attacked with the panache of Vino - remember the good times and love him for being a crazy relic from the old Eastern Bloc system (him & Jens are the last of them).
Leave the jersey to one side - surely the strength of Vino's palmares afford him a little leniency on the taste front - after all he is a Kazakh.
  • b · 4 months ago
I agree - Vino was outstanding to watch - and hopefully he will be again.

However, for making a jersey with his own face on it he is a wanker: as would be anyone else who did that.

remember how cool he was on T-mobile when he used to attack Ullrich in the hills & kloedi would have to chase him down. Those were the salad days.
