CT Interviews Simon Gerrans!
On another note cycling is a joke, if you get caught cheating it should be an automatic 5 year ban, no questions. If you coperate and name names like Bernard Kohl then you can get a reduced penaly of 3 years. I can not understand why they don't bring in tougher penalties. Its a joke!
For me, he is a giant disappointment, both in having doped but also in his present attitude.
A sad deal as I did like watching him ride.
Vino really is a national hero. They don’t have a lot to choose from. It’s probably warped his way of thinking. Or maybe it’s the drugs. But in this case, I so don’t feel sorry for him. I’m with you. I just wish he would go away. He was always a ‘big noter’.
but please don’t take this as a defense of vino of any kind. i hate the douchebag, but love the gusto!
Maybe somebody can find his actual retirement speech, I think I’m pretty close.
No one in recent memory has attacked with the panache of Vino - remember the good times and love him for being a crazy relic from the old Eastern Bloc system (him & Jens are the last of them).
Leave the jersey to one side - surely the strength of Vino's palmares afford him a little leniency on the taste front - after all he is a Kazakh.
However, for making a jersey with his own face on it he is a wanker: as would be anyone else who did that.
