CT Interviews Simon Gerrans!
I don't think anyone that cares has let this amazing achievement just slip by, it's just that mainstream media aren't interested and that's a shame.
Hopefully he can retain the title next year!
Does anyone know if there's anywhere I can watch the finishing stages of the race online?

Cheers
Bring on Sunday- my first race in over 14 years! Seven months ago I was getting whipped in London, working 15 hours a day, when someone sent me a link to this blog.
Since then, I've returned home, dusted off the old road bike, lost about 9kgs, (mostly on Kew Blvd), fixed the annoying creaking sound on the bike (skewer), refreshed myself on training and race tactics, the list goes on..... All thanks to reading some blog written by a Canadian in my home town that made me realise just how much I was missing! Avagoodweekend!!
Good luck
I think it's fair to say there has emerged from St Kilda an amazing cycling community. To have neighbors the likes of SKCC, CT, Ridewiser training centre, Cafe Racer, Spoke(n), the NRR etc. and even bloddy Beach Rd! I seems like I'm living in cycling heaven.
Cheers
Don't waste your time bickering with Trolls and narrow-minded individuals - get out and ride. I did and I feel totally refreshed and more at peace for it. But what was that wet stuff all over the road???
"Almost 9 O'clock, gotta go to work"
Have a great weekend CTers. Be safe, be happy.
Peace everyone, life is short so enjoy it, be good each other and lets try make this little globe a slightly happier place one person at a time :)
Thanks CT for reminding us this is why we love our chosen sport! It's a beautiful here in the west, so as soon as I can I'm out the door and on my bike! :)
I'll have to find that clip of Cadel's win (Google here we come). Oh and I agree, it would be so sweet to see and Aussie TdF team next year. The big question is: "Who would be the major sponsor?"
Hmm, lets see; Friday, 21C, light breeze, last day in current job... Might just be a looonng lunch! ;)
Enjoy the ride! And you better already be out the door, not like they can fire you....
Why? I mean I don’t like Collingwood supporters (why would you!!) but sheesh I just see them as poor, sad, deluded bastards but I don’t have an almost hate vengeance that seems to be directed by many at cyclists...
Seriously folks, we need to do something about this...Wade, can we start an action via this site to find some good ideas as to how to achieve a ground up change in community attitude?
I recently did the Deaflympics in Taipei and Reece Emerson-Van Beek, a powerful Aussie Deaf cyclist, was impressive in the 50km points race breaking away solo to take maximum points on the last 7 sprint lap points to vault into 2nd place (silver medal). He came within seconds of lapping the field and had he succeeded, this would have given him the win over American Nick Schreiber.
seeing Cadel attack and cross the line ,bought a tear to my eye then watching the replay yesterday
seeing Gerro well up there on the ready if required,
seeing Matty L there to the end,
seeing Rogers tactily placed in the break
seeing the work horses the likes of Stewi,Hayman,Hansen,Clarke and Sulzberger burying themselves for the cause,
seeing Neil Stevo's brilllant race tactics come into play
and finally hearing Matty K's best ever race call.
Such a great team effort put a lump in my throat, had what little hair I have left standing on end.
